Chris Nickerson

Mr. Kinne, Managing Director at GSP and Co-Founder and CEO of AXCS Capital has arranged in excess of $4BB in total capitalized value of complex debt and equity financings. Recent notable transactions that Evan and his team have completed include several large-scale hospitality developments, multifamily, industrial and mixed-use projects that required multiple capital sources and substantial financial structure.

Prior to joining the firm, Evan was a Vice President at Watertower Group, a boutique advisory focused on dynamic and innovative companies shaping technology, consumer internet and digital media. Evan has advised over 20 internet, technology, and media companies on series A-D equity capital formation and M&A. Evan’s other experience includes: Director of Business Development at RadPad, an LA based venture capital backed Real Estate technology company, and several other early stage and venture capital backed companies. Evan started his business career as an accountant.

Evan received his MBA from UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management and focused on Real Estate Finance coursework. For fun, Evan enjoys being outdoors, skiing, cycling, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two children. He has been involved in endurance mountain bike racing for over 25 years, completing many races, including the famous Leadville 100 multiple times.

Chris Nickerson is an investment professional with 15 years of experience covering major markets across the U.S. Most recently, Mr. Nickerson led Cain International’s Los Angeles office and covered all activities in the Western U.S., including new originations, asset management, and sourcing debt and equity capital alongside Cain International’s balance sheet commitments. Mr. Nickerson joined Cain International as part of the founding team in 2014 and helped grow the business into a global investment manager with $16 billion in assets across debt, equity, and operating platforms. Mr. Nickerson began his career at the Carlton Group, a New York-based real estate investment bank, where he worked on distressed opportunities coming out of the global financial crisis, including loan sales, foreclosures, and workouts. Mr. Nickerson left the Carlton Group to join the CenterCap Group at its founding in 2010. During Mr. Nickerson’s time at CenterCap, he directly supported the partners of the firm to execute strategic advisory work, including TIAA’s acquisition of Henderson’s $2.6 billion North American property business and a recapitalization of mid-Atlantic hospitality operator Buccini Pollin Group’s portfolio. Mr. Nickerson received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University.
